You have seen hoardings of Crypto.com in Superbowl, FIFA, F1 Grand Prix, and whatnot.

This post is to find out whether Crypto.com is worth such hype. So, without further ado, let’s get started.
Crypto.com is one of the top crypto exchanges in the world. The exchange was established in June 2016 in Singapore. The platform has more than 50 million users and around 4,000 employees worldwide.
The platform provides more than 180 tokens in over 360 different pairs. Further, there are several services that a user can use. We will discuss these services in detail in a short while.

Before, Crypto.com, he had built and grown several companies. All these businesses were related to e-commerce. He served as the CEO of Engoso. Further, he founded BEECRAZY, which was to iBuy group in 2013 for $21 million.

Like any crypto exchange, you can buy or sell crypto tokens on Crypto.com. In terms of trading, the exchange provides services such as Spot, Margin, and Derivatives Trading.

The trading interface of the exchange is very straightforward and user-friendly. Further, you get access to various Tradingview charts and indicators that can help with the technical analysis.

Crypto Earn is a feature that allows you to earn passive income on your crypto assets. For this, the platform supports more than 40 different crypto tokens, including stablecoins.
Based on the type of Earn product available, there may or may not be a lock-in period. In case there is a lock-in period, then interest and principal would be paid only at the time of the expiry of this lock-in period.

Crypto.com Credit allows a user to take a loan against their crypto assets. The platform lends upto 50% of a user’s collateral. This way, a user can have liquidity of funds without selling their crypto assets.

Crypto.com also has a DeFi wallet which can be used to store your crypto assets in a non-custodial manner. This means a user would have complete custody of their Private Keys.

Crypto.org chain is a public blockchain network built by Crypto.com with Cosmos SDK (Software Development Kit).
This network aims to build an ecosystem for DeFi and NFT projects and enable these applications with a world-class user interface.

Crypto.com had an ICO in June 2017. during the ICO, MCO (Monaco) tokens were issued to the investors. However, in August 2020, these tokens were replaced with CRO (Cronos) tokens. CRO is an ERC20 token ().

2. Past hack

In our understanding, Crypto.com is a decent exchange with a wide variety of token pairs and features. Further, a substantial userbase reflects customer confidence in the platform.
Thus, you can definitely try this platform.
However, one should always use a centralized exchange with a pinch of salt. If the platform gets hacked, you may lose all your funds. Therefore, keeping your trading funds on these exchanges and keeping your long-term holding in the Hardware Wallets is always a good practice.
